Question: What is meant by “turning the key”? And what effect does it have on the lives of those to whom it is applied?
Baba: Perfect Masters as a rule work and bring about results of a spiritual character in a natural way. On rare but significant occasions, they have to disregard the natural laws and bring about the desired result by the use of divine powers. For instance, suppose I want a certain person to come to me and be with me for his spiritual benefit, and because this is not possible, owing to the parents’ objections to it, the person in question develops symptoms of leprosy. Seeing this state of affairs, the panicky parents of their own accord bring the person in question and hand him over to my charge. This is “turning the key.”
